Connecting an agent to Tutosaic (Cursor, Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Codex)

Tutosaic exposes an MCP server that any modern agent can connect to. There are no API keys to copy. You add one URL to your client, and the first tool call opens a browser page where you approve the connection.

The endpoint

Family → Agents in the Dashboard shows this URL, ready-made configuration snippets for each client with a Copy button, and the list of active authorizations.

Cursor

Add to ~/.cursor/mcp.json:

Reload the window. The first tool call opens the approval tab.

Claude Desktop

Open Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector and paste the endpoint URL. The first tool call opens the approval page.

Claude Code

claude mcp add --transport http --scope user tutosaic https://tutosaic.com/mcp

Run claude mcp list afterwards to confirm it shows as connected.

Codex CLI

Add to ~/.codex/config.toml:

Codex prints the approval URL on the first call. Open it in your browser.

The approval page

Tutosaic asks you to authorise the client for the mcp:use scope. Sign in with your parent account if you are not already, then approve. The client receives a token and the connection shows under Active authorizations on the Agents page with its name, when it connected and when its token expires.

Approve only clients you run yourself. An authorised agent acts as you within your family.

Older clients

If your client does not support HTTP transport with dynamic registration, bridge through the mcp-remote proxy:

What to do first

Once connected, ask the agent to read the family context and list the subjects. Then file an assignment request from the Dashboard and ask the agent to fulfil it. The draft shows up in your approval queue.

Revoking

Choose Revoke next to an authorization on the Agents page. Every token for that client stops working immediately. See "Revoking an agent and troubleshooting connections".
