A connected agent can look at a submission and suggest a correction. You decide whether it lands. Sometimes the suggestion comes with a follow-up assignment that reinforces what the student got wrong, and you can approve both in one step.

What a suggestion contains

  • A proposed score out of 100.
  • Feedback for the student, written in the student-facing voice.
  • Weak topics the agent noticed.
  • A rationale for you, explaining how it arrived at the score.

Suggestions go through the same quality gate as drafts: length bounds, no AI meta-commentary, no student full names, no duplicate weak topics. A suggestion that fails the gate is recorded as rejected and never shown to you.

Where you see it

Suggestions appear on the assignment's correction page, in a panel titled The agent suggested a correction. They also count as items in your approval queue and trigger the "waiting for your approval" email.

Your options

  • Use this suggestion copies the score, feedback and weak topics into the correction form. Edit anything you disagree with, then Mark as corrected. Your edits are recorded, and agents can read them to calibrate future suggestions.
  • Dismiss suggestion rejects it. You can add a short note explaining why. The form stays empty for you to correct by hand.

Paired follow-ups

When the agent thinks the student needs another go at the same topic, it can attach a follow-up assignment to its suggestion. The correction page then shows Paired follow-up assignment with the draft, and the action becomes Approve both.

Approving both does two things at once:

  • The correction is saved on the submitted assignment, exactly as if you had marked it corrected.
  • The follow-up becomes a live assignment in the student's inbox, labelled as a continuation of the corrected one.

The pair is approved together or not at all. If you dismiss the suggestion, the follow-up draft is rejected with it. If you would rather keep the follow-up but change the correction, use the suggestion, edit the form, and approve.

Follow-ups and auto-approval

Even when auto-approval is on for assignment drafts, a follow-up attached to a correction is not approved on its own. It lands together with the correction, either when you approve both or when the family auto-approves corrections.

Revisions

Agents can revise a suggestion before you review it, for example after reading your dismissal note. Revised suggestions show a Revision note with the reason. There is a cap on how many times a draft can be revised, after which the agent has to start a fresh one.
