A family can have any number of students. Each one has their own page, their own paired devices and their own history. Assignments, corrections and weak topics never mix between students.

Adding a student

From any student page, open Add another student:

  1. Enter the Student name. First name is enough; it is what the student sees in the app.
  2. Optionally pick a School year from 1 to 12. This helps agents pitch drafts at the right level and lets subjects be filtered by year.
  3. Choose Create student.

Tutosaic creates the student and a first pairing code, and opens the new student's page. Only a parent of the family can add students.

The student page

  • Stats at the top: assignments in total, waiting for you, in flight, corrected and done.
  • School year: change it here at any time.
  • Notifications: the "Send a push when I return a correction" toggle. When on, the student's paired device gets a push notification each time you mark an assignment corrected.
  • Pairing codes and paired devices for this student. See the Tutosaic Student app collection.
  • Test results, Next evaluations and Class summaries. See "Recording tests, evaluations and class summaries".
  • Timeline: every draft, approval, submission and correction for this student, oldest to newest.
  • Weekly digest for this student only, mirroring the family email.

Switching the active student

The Dashboard home page focuses on one student at a time. Use Switch active student on the home page to change it. Today's work and the Approval queue also have their own student filter.

Renaming a student

Change the name on the student page. The change applies everywhere immediately, including the Student app after its next refresh.

Removing a student

There is no self-service delete for students yet. Unpair their devices from Family → Devices so the app stops receiving work, and contact support if you need the student removed entirely.

Privacy note

Drafts and corrections are checked by a quality gate that refuses the student's full name in student-facing text. Agents get the student's first name and school year as context, not more.
